No, hyperbaric oxygen treatments are generally painless, however, you may experience a full sensation in your ears, similar to changing altitudes in an airplane. The temporary feeling of ear fullness may occur as the eardrums respond to changes in the atmospheric pressure while inside the hyperbaric chamber.

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy is generally a safe treatment and complications are rare. At Advanced Wound Care & Hyperbaric Medicine of Michigan, we take all necessary precautions to ensure patient safety. An initial exam is performed by one of our providers prior to starting treatment to determine if you are a candidate.

The cost of treatment is based on the amount of time needed for each treatment. Please call for individual patient rates.

Each patient’s health plan has its own criteria. Please call our insurance expert for more information regarding your particular insurance coverage.

Treatments may be financed through several different finance companies, including CareCredit, in accordance with their requirements.  None of these companies are affiliated with Advanced Wound Care & Hyperbaric Medicine of Michigan.
